The drop-in summer playground program is a FREE nine week theme-oriented, non-registered drop in summer program that runs Monday - Thursday for neighborhood children 7 to 14 years of age. Recreational activities, special events, games, inter-park sports competitions and field trips will be held. Please note: Unlike the registered playground programs, playground leaders do not monitor with whom, how, or when children come and go from playground. Locations may be subject to change.
Event: Playground 4th of July Parades (AKA Doll Buggy Parades) - TBA
The Playground Parades (also known as the Doll Buggy Parades) have been a tradition in the parks for nearly 100 years. Children throughout Racine carry on this annual Independence Day celebration by building small floats and decorating bikes, wagons, scooters...and themselves...to march through the city's area parks and neighborhoods. The parades are open to all families who wish to participate, and spectators who wish to cheer on the children and all their hard work!
Tentative 2021 Parade Schedule:
Parades start at 6:30 p.m. on TBD
