Tobacco Free Parks and Beaches
In the interest of public health and wellbeing for Racine residents and visitors alike, the City of Racine Health Department is in the process of drafting and proposing to the Racine Common Council an ordinance that would prohibit smoking in/on all Racine public parks and beaches. The Health Department has been surveying people at various parks and beaches in order to gauge opinions regarding the proposed ordinance. K*R*W Tri-County Tobacco Free Coalition
The Kenosha*Racine*Walworth (K*R*W) Tri-County Tobacco Free Coalition is a joint effort between Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties to reduce tobacco product use. One of the primary objectives of the Coalition is to better the health of area residents through the reduction of smoking among all age groups.

The City of Racine has adopted WI State Statutes regarding the workplace smoking ban into its Municipal Code. This can be found in the City of Racine Municipal Code, Chapter 66: Offenses, Article XXIII: Restrictions on Smoking in Public.
