Outside registration closes at 5:00 p.m. twenty (20) days before each election. Anyone wishing to register after this date may do so in the City Clerk's Office or at the polling place on the date of the election.
You must provide proof of residence when you register to vote. Acceptable forms of identification must show the name of the voter and the address they are declaring as their residence. For examples of acceptable identification, and for information on how to obtain a free ID visit the following site.

How to apply for an absentee ballot
If you are not already registered, you will need to
register to vote (

The application must be received by the clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you.
Request by E-Mail or Fax for MILITARY and OVERSEAS VOTERS
A voter may request that a ballot be sent to them by sending an e-mail
or fax to their municipal clerk. Before the ballot can be counted on
election day, the municipal clerk must have received a request
from the voter with an original signature. (Print your emailed request, sign
it, and return it with your ballot, but outside the certified ballot envelope.)
