Several City Departments - including the City Development, Public Works, Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services, and Public Health Departments - collaborated with graduate students from UW-Milwaukee to develop a long-term vision and plan for North Beach Park in Racine. Public input was sought throughout the process, including at a public open house held on Monday, March 21.
The final product of this extensive process is now available:
Vision for North Beach Park
Utilizing the Vision for North Beach Park, the City has hired a consulting firm specializing in park planning and design in order to complete a master plan. The master planning process is expected to take approximately six months, and at the conclusion provide a final park design – including designs for a boardwalk and bathhouse. A public input session will be announced during the summer of 2017.
