The City of Racine takes pride in being a lakefront community. The Health Department Laboratory Division has a highly qualified staff committed to maintaining the integrity of our beaches and water. This includes identifying pollution sources and developing water quality monitoring tools for the Great Lakes.

The Division also conducts chemical and microbiological assessments on storm water, inland lakes, and tributaries in an effort to protect human and environmental health. See the links below for more information on these efforts as well as possible opportunities within the laboratory:
