    Small Rehab House 

     

    The City of Racine Housing Deparment offers the following programs:

    • Home improvement (repair) loans at fixed, low-interest rates to qualified owner occupants
    • Property improvement (repair) loans to investors whose tenants are low-moderate income households
    • Energy efficiency improvement loans to owner occupied houses.

     

    All loans are at a fixed interest rate ranging from 3% to 5%, for a term up to 20 years.  For more information regarding the loan programs, please visit the Home Rehabilitation Loans section of the website.  Please note that all contractors performing work for the Department must be familiar with the City of Racine Housing Rehabilitation Specifications and Guidelines.

     

    Through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, the city is able to reinvest in existing neighbohoods and remove blight and increase property values, providing improved and upgraded homes at an affordable price and making owning a quality home possible.  For more information about the Neighborhood Stabilzation Program as well as a listing of current homes for sale, please visit the NSP section of the website.
