David
Maack has served as the Racine County Emergency Management Coordinator
since April 1990. During his tenure with Racine County, David has built
a program that has received national recognition from both the Federal
Emergency Management Agency and the International Association of Emergency
Managers (IAEM). Two Racine County Emergency Management Programs were
included in FEMA's Compendium of Exemplary Practices and he has garnered
20 Media awards from the International Association of Emergency Managers
since 1995. David has written numerous articles on Emergency Management
and has spoken extensively on emergency management related topics.
David is active in
the community and has served on numerous boards and committees. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his
family, camping and attending Native American Pow Wows and cultural events. David
is married (Amy Hernandez Maack) and has two children, Maria and David
II.
