Parks and Golf Courses
The City of Racine is home to over 86 parks ranging in size from .08 acre at Harris Plaza to 378.0 acre Johnson Park. Be sure to look into the following links:
GOLF COURSES The City operates one 18-hole and two 9-hole golf courses.
Johnson Park

Johnson Park, an 18-hole course, is a well-known course that utilizes the Root River on some of its holes. Johnson Park does have an imposed time limit on the course, which is liked by the golfer who does not have all day for a round. The course also offers a driving range, lessons, snack bar, liquor bar and a pro shop. Johnson Park is the home of the Mike Bencriscutto Junior Masters Tournament. The tournament, which just celebrated its 28th anniversary, is the host to some of the best junior golfers throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Shoop Park

Shoop Park is a 9-hole course located on the shore of Lake Michigan. It is a picturesque course with its rolling fairways being overlooked by the Wind Point Lighthouse.
Washington Park

Washington Park is a 9-hole course and is located in the center of the City, which also utilizes the Root River as part of the course.
