Parks Job Opportunities
Main Gallery, a summer employment program developed by Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, is designed for young people ages 14 to 19 who are interested in the arts. Young artists work with practicing artists, learning new skills and techniques, while getting paid and obtaining job experience. There is no cost and all supplies are provided. There are a limited number of openings as funding for the program is dependent on donations from sponsors. Past programs have included furniture painting, photography, sculpture, theater, mural painting, bus painting and jewelry design. Applications will be available March 3, 2014 and may be picked up at the PRCS office, 800 Center St, Room 127, or may be downloaded from this link: [check back after March 3, 2014]. The application deadline is Friday, April 4, 2014.
