    The Building Inspection Department is responsible for the Administration and Enforcement of the City and State Building, Heating, Plumbing, Electrical, and Zoning Codes. The primary purpose of these codes is to protect the life and safety of the public. The secondary purpose is to protect, preserve, and enhance property values and quality of life for the citizens of the City. 

     

    Building Inspection Code Enforcement Division 

    The Code Enforcement Division will promote healthy neighborhoods through enforcement activities which will focus on both residential and commercial properties throughout the city. The objective of the division is to enforce building, maintenance and health codes as they pertain to property upkeep and the elimination of health hazards caused by the presence of garbage or other adverse exterior conditions.
